they wouldn't mind more geniuses if they are under their family name... that's why they don't mind he female genius because they will just marry her to one of their sons..... but since he is a man and not their family, he poses a treat if he becomes a top fighter by adding a new family name to rival theirs...... basically they just want to stay in power instead of doing what's best for the sect...... however they could try adopting him into the family and giving him their last name instead of doing whatever insidious plan their plotting....but i doubt he would go for that anyway..... their def gonna be pissed when he comes out that tower with all three techniques.....

True that. Plus its considered a dishonor for a man to marry into a woman's clan and take their name. Its not like it never happens, but its a disgrace. Hard for a man to live like that.

Also, it seems like the founding Ancestor of the Haotian Sword Sect set some fair rules for the growth of the sect, but his descendants of the Haotian family don't agree. Hence the scheming.
